The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Ernest Lemnaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The audience was convinced that Ferdinand Simionaş's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristian Irimia was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. 11 minutes into the match, Boas's goal looked a bit too open when Ferdinand Simionaş came free, but Cristian Irimia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ernest Lemnarus short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Cristian Irimia to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ferdinand Simionaş's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristian Irimia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. After 26 played minutes Boas got a freekick which was hit by Ionel Panescu. Cristian Irimia made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Ernest Lemnaru sent off a good shot on target. In the 31st minute, Nadas's Ferdinand Simionaş ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cristian Irimia. Cristian Irimia yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. If Ernest Lemnaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ferdinand Simionaş took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristian Irimia. Cristian Irimia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 41st match minute, Nadas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferdinand Simionaş to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd match minute, Boas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bogdan Hârlău to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Cristian Irimia managed to avoid a goal in the 44thth minute, when Nadas's Ernest Lemnaru fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Cristian Irimia made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Ernest Lemnaru sent off a good shot on target. Cristian Irimia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferdinand Simionaş in the 48th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manuel Bognar to make the kick off. Iulian Gheondea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogdan Hârlău in the 53rd minute of the match. When Bogdan Hârlău fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Boas's protests and gave Bogdan Hârlău a yellow card for diving instead. In the 57th minute, Bogdan Hârlău hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Irimia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdinand Simionaş, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aristide Pătrășconiu in the 63rd minute of play forced Boas's goalkeeper Cristian Irimia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute Ferdinand Simionaş shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Irimia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ernest Lemnaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdinand Simionaş in the 73rd minute of play forced Boas's goalkeeper Cristian Irimia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iulian Gheondea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Bognar in the 77th minute of the match. Bogdan Hârlău received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Iulian Gheondea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ion Arvinte kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bogdan Hârlău in the 82nd minute of play forced Nadas's goalkeeper Iulian Gheondea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ernest Lemnaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Ferdinand Simionaş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Bognar struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Iulian Gheondea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boas. Manuel Bognar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iulian Gheondea having to make a save. In the 91st minute, Ion Arvinte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manuel Bognar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iulian Gheondea having to interfere. If Manuel Bognar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Ferdinand Simionaş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Boas's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
