In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Gloria Marasesti's goalkeeper Gigel Pantilimon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 20 minutes into the match, FC Gloria Marasesti's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Cârstea came free, but Gigel Pantilimon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Damian Cârstea was the one to do the kick off. Gigel Pantilimon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iordache Opriș in the 56th minute of the match. After 61 minutes of play, FC Universitatea Craiova's Iordache Opriș made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gigel Pantilimon was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Nicolae Leucuța was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 66 minutes had been played. After 71 played minutes FC Gloria Marasesti got a freekick which was hit by Iacob Andone. If Damian Cârstea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to FC Gloria Marasesti getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Iacob Andone hit a great ball.
