In the 18th minute, Cristian Bistreanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristian Bistreanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ernest Anghelescu came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Asu Unirea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernest Anghelescu couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Cârstea in the 25th minute of play forced Asu Unirea's goalkeeper Cornel Ciorobîtcă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cornel Ciorobîtcă came out of the goal and Iordache Opriș tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Damian Cârstea took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Cornel Ciorobîtcă to make any attempt to save it. Damian Cârstea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Iordache Opriș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ernest Anghelescu during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
