Spectators: 7487 (Terracing: 5616, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Șerban Taşcu started the match with the kick off. After 4 played minutes Galesul got a freekick which was hit by Alex Vulturar. In the 8th minute, Gică Harhoiu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gică Harhoiu in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emilian Muncelean saved Galesul from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iacob Andone during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Iacob Andone hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Șerban Taşcu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30thth minute of the game Iordache Cernescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Gloria Marasesti's Gigel Pantilimon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gigel Pantilimon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iordache Cernescu's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Gigel Pantilimon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iordache Cernescu in the 34th minute of play. Gigel Pantilimon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Șerban Taşcu in the 35th minute of the match. If Șerban Taşcu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iordache Cernescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Gigel Pantilimon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Șerban Taşcu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gică Harhoiu to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Șerban Taşcu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gigel Pantilimon was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Iordache Cernescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Gigel Pantilimon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iordache Cernescu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Gigel Pantilimon when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Constantin Ghișe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gigel Pantilimon made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Iordache Cernescu sent off a good shot on target. Gigel Pantilimon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Șerban Taşcu in the 67th minute of play. Galesul's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alex Vulturar in the 68th minute. After taking down the ball on Galesul's corner Alex Vulturar fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gigel Pantilimon quite easily take care of the ball. A collision led to FC Gloria Marasesti getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Iacob Andone hit a great ball. After 73 played minutes FC Gloria Marasesti got a freekick which was hit by Augustin Sitaru. Edgar Puișoru hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 80th minute, Niculae Petrin sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Galesul's Emilian Muncelean didn't even have to move. If Gică Harhoiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Damian Toader fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galesul's protests and gave Damian Toader a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FC Gloria Marasesti booed when Galesul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Toader didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emilian Muncelean showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gică Harhoiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Gigel Pantilimon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Șerban Taşcu's shot from short distance in the 98th minute. The Galesul players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
