Nadas's Iulian Gheondea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Nadas from getting a goal against them. Ernest Lemnaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ioan Chesaru having to interfere. Gavril Nistor was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 26 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 25th minute of the game. One of FCU CRAIOVA:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Nadas:s goal. In the 28th minute there was a penalty for Nadas. Petru Abraham stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ioan Chesaru. 1-1. Iurie Urderean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Iulian Gheondea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd match minute, Nadas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ion Arvinte to maneuver through the defense. If Moise Jurăscu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute, Narcis Mihădaș fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Iulian Gheondea, passed just outside the right post. After having played for 39 minutes, Narcis Mihădaș managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FCU CRAIOVA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Narcis Mihădaș was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41st minute Aristide Pătrășconiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ioan Chesaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute, Narcis Mihădaș got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ferdinand Simionaş blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ioan Chesaru having to make a save.

The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to FCU CRAIOVA getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Nicu Păvăloae hit a great ball. Nicu Păvăloae struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Iulian Gheondea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FCU CRAIOVA. FCU CRAIOVA's Albert Enache quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Petru Abraham, made in the 78th minute of the game. Nicu Păvăloae took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iulian Gheondea. Iulian Gheondea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Ioan Chesaru made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ion Arvinte in the 85th minute. If Narcis Mihădaș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Narcis Mihădaș recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Iurie Urderean struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Iulian Gheondea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FCU CRAIOVA. A collision led to Nadas getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Sergiu Halipa hit a great ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FCU CRAIOVA fully deserved thier win.
