Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Pompiliu Cutean started the match with the kick off. Pompiliu Cutean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Cristian Irimia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pompiliu Cutean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dunarea CSU Galati's Ionuț Lupșoiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bogdan Hârlău in the 13th minute of play. When Călin Țepeluș fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dunarea CSU Galati's protests and gave Călin Țepeluș a yellow card for diving instead. Dunarea CSU Galati's Ionuț Lupșoiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bogdan Hârlău in the 17th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Pompiliu Cutean's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristian Irimia was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. When Dunarea CSU Galati's Pompiliu Cutean in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Emilian Gaciu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristian Irimia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilian Gaciu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 38 minutes of play, Dunarea CSU Galati's Emilian Gaciu made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristian Irimia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Manuel Bognar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ionuț Lupșoiu having to make a save. In the 44th minute, Emilian Gaciu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristian Irimia was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pompiliu Cutean in the 47th minute of play forced Boas's goalkeeper Cristian Irimia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Boas's Manuel Bognar got a free kick in the 47th minute. After the first half Dunarea CSU Galati were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Manuel Bognar to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Bogdan Hârlău was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Boas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dunarea CSU Galati the free kick. A collision led to Boas getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Bogdan Hârlău hit a great ball. Emilian Gaciu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Pompiliu Cutean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Emilian Gaciu came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Dunarea CSU Galati fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emilian Gaciu couldn't finish the play. In the 61st match minute, Boas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bogdan Hârlău to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Dunarea CSU Galati's zone, Bogdan Hârlău stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ionuț Lupșoiu came out of the goal and Bogdan Hârlău tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pompiliu Cutean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Irimia having to interfere. After 71 played minutes Boas got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Bognar. Pompiliu Cutean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Cristian Irimia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bogdan Hârlău sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 80 minutes of play, Dunarea CSU Galati's Călin Țepeluș made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristian Irimia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cristian Irimia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pompiliu Cutean, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Emilian Gaciu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Cristian Irimia made a huge save. In the 91st minute, Pompiliu Cutean got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Manuel Bognar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pompiliu Cutean struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Cristian Irimia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dunarea CSU Galati. Dunarea CSU Galati's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
