Latinu CS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pompiliu Cutean was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Claudiu Crăciunescu struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Ionuț Lupșoiu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Latinu CS. Vlad Şiman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Herescu having to interfere. Doru Găvănescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Ionuț Lupșoiu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Claudiu Crăciunescu came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Latinu CS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudiu Crăciunescu couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Claudiu Crăciunescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Latinu CS's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudiu Crăciunescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ionuț Lupșoiu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ionuț Lupșoiu came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Latinu CS's Claudiu Crăciunescu. But to his dismay, Claudiu Crăciunescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. When Florin Fărcașu was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 91 minutes had been played.
