Narcis Mihădaș kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. If Doru Găvănescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ioan Chesaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudiu Crăciunescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Narcis Mihădaș hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Niculae Pătru kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 16th minute Luca Fecioru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ioan Chesaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FCU CRAIOVA's Ioan Chesaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doru Găvănescu in the 18th minute of play. Anton Toader sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Latinu CS were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after FCU CRAIOVA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Remus Morovan took the corner. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Anton Toader got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 0-2. 30 minutes into the match. Ioan Chesaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudiu Crăciunescu in the 33rd minute of the match. Martin Herescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iurie Urderean in the 36th minute. With his leg Martin Herescu managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when FCU CRAIOVA's Iurie Urderean fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 39th minute Anton Toader shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ioan Chesaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FCU CRAIOVA's Moise Jurăscu quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Valentin Tiţe, made in the 43rd minute of the game. After some careless play in the FCU CRAIOVA defense, Luca Fecioru kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ioan Chesaru. The FCU CRAIOVA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ioan Chesaru should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Claudiu Crăciunescu to make the kick off. Martin Herescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iurie Urderean, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Ioan Chesaru came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Latinu CS's Luca Fecioru. But to his dismay, Luca Fecioru quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Ioan Chesaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Fecioru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rd minute, Latinu CS's Claudiu Crăciunescu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ioan Chesaru. Ioan Chesaru yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. FCU CRAIOVA's Ioan Chesaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudiu Crăciunescu in the 77th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Latinu CS's Claudiu Crăciunescu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ioan Chesaru. That made the score 0-6 after 82 minutes of play. Claudiu Crăciunescu scored 0-7 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ioan Chesaru, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Valentin Tiţe made in the 92nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FCU CRAIOVA's Moise Jurăscu. Ioan Chesaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudiu Crăciunescu in the 94th minute of the match. The Latinu CS players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
