But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudiu Crăciunescu couldn't finish the play. Claudiu Crăciunescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rareș Jităreanu having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudiu Crăciunescu in the 26th minute of play forced Hanzesti SC's goalkeeper Rareș Jităreanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claudiu Crăciunescus short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Rareș Jităreanu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 33rd match minute, Hanzesti SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Barbălată to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 36 minutes, Claudiu Crăciunescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Latinu CS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudiu Crăciunescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hanzesti SC's Rareș Jităreanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudiu Crăciunescu in the 37th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Hanzesti SC's zone, Luca Fecioru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rareș Jităreanu came out of the goal and Luca Fecioru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, Hanzesti SC's Victor Boacă got a free kick in the 51st minute. Claudiu Crăciunescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rareș Jităreanu having to interfere. Claudiu Crăciunescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Rareș Jităreanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Claudiu Crăciunescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Doru Găvănescu struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Rareș Jităreanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Latinu CS. Valentin Tiţe kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 83rd minute Claudiu Crăciunescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rareș Jităreanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 83 minutes, Andrei Zbanţ mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hanzesti SC and the Latinu CS players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 84 played minutes Hanzesti SC got a freekick which was hit by Andrei Zbanţ. Claudiu Crăciunescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Rareș Jităreanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
