Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) SEVERIN's Albert Dăianu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gabriel Vulturar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Zsombolya AS fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when Zsombolya AS's Aurel Niță looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Albert Dăianu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Vulturar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Iurie Arapașu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Gabriel Vulturar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 26th minute, Aurel Niță fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Iurie Arapașu, passed just outside the right post. After having played for 30 minutes, Aurel Niță managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zsombolya AS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurel Niță was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aurel Niță received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Iurie Arapașu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute Aurel Niță shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iurie Arapașu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nechifor Zbanţ fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iurie Arapașu having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aurel Niță to make the kick off. Iordache Răuțu might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manuel Isăilă. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iordache Răuțu ran back to his position shaking his head. Albert Dăianu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Isăilă having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SEVERIN's Marius Comănescu got a free kick in the 58th minute. SEVERIN's Iurie Arapașu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Vulturar in the 62nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Nechifor Zbanţ managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zsombolya AS's supporters rose to their feet, but Nechifor Zbanţ was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iurie Arapașu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. SEVERIN's Ionel Iorgu challenged an opponent after 70 minutes. The hit was so bad that he suffered a foot injury. Octav Pascu's late challenge caught a SEVERIN's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Octav Pascu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 71st minute, Octav Pascu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 73 in the game by Iordache Răuțu from a close distance when the talented Manuel Isăilă managed to make a qualified save. Zsombolya AS's players were relieved. Zsombolya AS's Gabriel Vulturar got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Aurel Niță came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Zsombolya AS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurel Niță couldn't finish the play. Gabriel Vulturar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iurie Arapașu having to interfere. If Aurel Niță had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iurie Arapașu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurel Niță, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Denis Hritcu during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to SEVERIN getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Denis Hritcu hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Zsombolya AS had won after a very even match.
