After 2 played minutes Penfolds® got a freekick which was hit by Ştefan Cosâmbescu. The audience was convinced that Nechifor Octavian's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Petruț Coraș was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Robert Cucerzan in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mihnea Buzea, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Nechifor Octavian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Petruț Coraș tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Costin Murărașu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute, Ionuț Scutaru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Costin Murărașu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Nechifor Octavian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robert Cucerzan might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mihnea Buzea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Robert Cucerzan ran back to his position shaking his head. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claudiu Gheorghiță was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, DROJDIERII's Nechifor Octavian sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Petruț Coraș narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 58 minutes into the match, DROJDIERII's goal looked a bit too open when Claudiu Gheorghiță came free, but Mihnea Buzea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Moise Chițu kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Mihnea Buzea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ionuț Scutaru in the 62nd minute of the match. Costin Murărașu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Moise Chițu charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Moise Chițu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to DROJDIERII getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Moise Chițu hit a great ball. Claudiu Gheorghiță fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihnea Buzea having to interfere. Claudiu Gheorghiță received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Mihnea Buzea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Penfolds®'s goalkeeper Petruț Coraș, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Petruț Coraș took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nechifor Octavian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robert Cucerzan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihnea Buzea having to interfere. After having played for 93 minutes, Claudiu Gheorghiță managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Penfolds®'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudiu Gheorghiță was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 94th minute Claudiu Gheorghiță shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihnea Buzea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nechifor Octavian's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Petruț Coraș read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the DROJDIERII players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
