Spectators: 6728 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Nistor Panciu got the match started through his kick off. Ghencea's Cristian Zgîrţa got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ioan Măcrinici's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Horaţiu Nacu firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 16th play minute Ioan Măcrinici came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Horaţiu Nacu. 1-0. When Petru Donici fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ghencea's protests and gave Petru Donici a yellow card for diving instead. Petru Donici kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ghencea's zone, Ioan Măcrinici stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horaţiu Nacu came out of the goal and Ioan Măcrinici tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 29 minutes, Ioan Măcrinici managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ruginosi FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ioan Măcrinici was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Cristian Zgîrţa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Cristian Zgîrţa made the kick off in the second half. Constantin Istrătescu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cristian Zgîrţa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 54 minute of play. Nistor Panciu struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Horaţiu Nacu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ruginosi FC. Constantin Istrătescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mugurel Măcrineanu in the 63rd minute. 69 minutes into the match, Ghencea's goal looked a bit too open when Nistor Panciu came free, but Horaţiu Nacu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Constantin Istrătescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Zgîrţa in the 74th minute of play. Sorin Enciulescu charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sorin Enciulescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sorin Enciulescu kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Mugurel Măcrineanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Constantin Istrătescu having to make a save. Cristian Zgîrţa took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Constantin Istrătescu. Constantin Istrătescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Mugurel Măcrineanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Constantin Istrătescu having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Cristian Zgîrţa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match was over Ghencea could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ruginosi FC throughout the match.
