Spectators: 7588 (Terracing: 5731, Seating: 1757, VIP seats: 100) Gheoca's Romeo Gherasim started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Doru Surdu got free with Octavian Pordea in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 4 minutes of play, Patarlaijele's Doru Surdu made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Octavian Pordea was left in no man's land by his defense there! 8 minutes into the match, Patarlaijele's goal looked a bit too open when Ferdinand Boacă came free, but Petruț Aalexoaiei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ion Lalescu hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Petruț Aalexoaiei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romeo Gherasim, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Mircea Zgârcu kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Octavian Pordea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valeriu Bordeanu in the 19th minute of play. In the 22nd match minute, Patarlaijele was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Beligan to maneuver through the defense. Gheoca's Romeo Gherasim got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 25th minute, Mircea Zgârcu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gheoca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Patarlaijele's Valeriu Bordeanu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Octavian Pordea. That made the score 2-1 after 32 minutes of play. 36 minutes into the game, Patarlaijele's Doru Surdu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Octavian Pordea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Gheoca's Octavian Pordea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Gheoca from getting a goal against them. In the 46th minute, Nae Vişoianu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Petruț Aalexoaiei was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valeriu Bordeanu was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mircea Zgârcu during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 51 played minutes Gheoca got a freekick which was hit by Mircea Zgârcu. Gheoca's Octavian Pordea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doru Surdu in the 54th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Romeo Gherasim during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Octavian Pordea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doru Surdu in the 66th minute of play. Mircea Zgârcu hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Doru Surdu might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Octavian Pordea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Doru Surdu ran back to his position shaking his head. Octavian Pordea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doru Surdu in the 74th minute of play. Mircea Zgârcu kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doru Surdu in the 80th minute of play forced Gheoca's goalkeeper Octavian Pordea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Octavian Pordea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valeriu Bordeanu's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Octavian Pordea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valeriu Bordeanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valeriu Bordeanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavian Pordea having to interfere. Octavian Pordea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doru Surdu, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Patarlaijele's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
