An unexpectedly hard shot by Grigore Lăzărescu in the 18th minute of play forced Ruginosi FC's goalkeeper Constantin Istrătescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Petre Raţiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 26th minute, Nistor Panciu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gavril Tomozei was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. BadMotherLuckers-OS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ruginosi FC the free kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nistor Panciu in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gavril Tomozei saved BadMotherLuckers-OS from getting behind. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Ioan Măcrinici sped through BadMotherLuckers-OS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gavril Tomozei. Gavril Tomozei didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nistor Panciu went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After the first half Ruginosi FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Grigore Lăzărescu to strike the kick off in the second half. Petre Raţiu might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Constantin Istrătescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Petre Raţiu ran back to his position shaking his head. 57 minutes into the match, Grigore Lăzărescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Constantin Istrătescu. Ruginosi FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Grigore Lăzărescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. The audience was convinced that Grigore Lăzărescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Constantin Istrătescu was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. The long shot by Pavel Amandiței in the 65th minute really tested Gavril Tomozei's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Ruginosi FC's Ioan Măcrinici got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ioan Măcrinici blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gavril Tomozei having to make a save. BadMotherLuckers-OS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 70th minute, when Pompiliu Traian scored to the left of an out of position Gavril Tomozei, making the score, 1-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Ioan Măcrinici managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ruginosi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ioan Măcrinici was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gavril Tomozei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 76th play minute Ioan Măcrinici came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gavril Tomozei. 1-5. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Grigore Lăzărescu in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Constantin Istrătescu saved Ruginosi FC from getting behind. The Ruginosi FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
