Spectators: 7574 (Terracing: 5682, Seating: 1741, VIP seats: 151) Cristian Zgîrţa started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. If Cristian Zgîrţa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Horaţiu Nacu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Romeo Gherasim's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. When Romeo Gherasim came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Gheoca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romeo Gherasim couldn't finish the play. In the 24th minute, Dacian Udrea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute of the match Ghencea got a corner. Gheoca's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tiberiu Teodoreanu ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mugurel Măcrineanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Octavian Pordea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Zgîrţa succeeded in the game's 32nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. 36 minutes into the game, Paul Bolcaș was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ghencea's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gheoca the free kick. Paul Bolcaș kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Horaţiu Nacu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeo Gherasim in the 37th minute of play. Romeo Gherasim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Octavian Pordea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mugurel Măcrineanu in the 45th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Romeo Gherasim made the kick off in the second half. Octavian Pordea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Zgîrţa in the 56th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Romeo Gherasim put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Horaţiu Nacu. With his leg Octavian Pordea managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Ghencea's Mugurel Măcrineanu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Cristian Zgîrţa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Octavian Pordea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute Nae Vişoianu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horaţiu Nacu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 78 played minutes Ghencea got a freekick which was hit by Petru Donici. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nae Vişoianu in the 79th minute of play forced Ghencea's goalkeeper Horaţiu Nacu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Horaţiu Nacu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeo Gherasim in the 81st minute of the match. Nae Vişoianu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Gheoca's Octavian Pordea got control of the ball when Mugurel Măcrineanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Octavian Pordea was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Mugurel Măcrineanu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mugurel Măcrineanu really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. Cristi Botea shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal.
