Octavian Pordea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Oravițan, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Beghinesti FC's goalkeeper Avram Dorian had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nae Vişoianu. If Nae Vişoianu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vlad Astafiei kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After 45 played minutes Beghinesti FC got a freekick which was hit by Claudiu Hodorog. Avram Dorian made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Nae Vişoianu sent off a good shot on target. When Vlad Astafiei fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Beghinesti FC's protests and gave Vlad Astafiei a yellow card for diving instead. In the 48th minute, Vlad Astafiei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Romeo Gherasim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Daniel Oravițan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Octavian Pordea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Beghinesti FC's Octavian Pordea threw himself towards the right post 73 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Calistrat Câmpeanu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Romeo Gherasim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romeo Gherasim struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Avram Dorian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gheoca. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Romeo Gherasim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gheoca's supporters rose to their feet, but Romeo Gherasim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Avram Dorian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Calistrat Câmpeanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Calistrat Câmpeanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Octavian Pordea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Beghinesti FC's zone, Romeo Gherasim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Avram Dorian came out of the goal and Romeo Gherasim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 91st minute Romeo Gherasim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Avram Dorian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Beghinesti FC's zone, Mircea Zgârcu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Avram Dorian came out of the goal and Mircea Zgârcu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Romeo Gherasim came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Gheoca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romeo Gherasim couldn't finish the play. When Daniel Oravițan came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Beghinesti FC fans jumped to their feet.
