Basarab Ştefoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcu Ionescu in the 6th minute of the match. Dobrotu CSS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Martin Zberea in the 7th minute. The corner led to Dobrotu CSS's Marcu Ionescu getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 11th minute, David Dragota ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Basarab Ştefoi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Marcu Ionescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aristide Remus's late challenge caught a OTELUL GALATI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aristide Remus helped the player get up and apologised. After 23 played minutes Dobrotu CSS got a freekick which was hit by Aristide Remus. If Nichifor Bojonca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Basarab Ştefoi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcu Ionescu's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Basarab Ştefoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilian Butuc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th match minute, OTELUL GALATI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valer Novacovici to maneuver through the defense. Basarab Ştefoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcu Ionescu in the 39th minute of the match. In the 40th minute, Marcu Ionescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Basarab Ştefoi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Basarab Ştefoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcu Ionescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. 46 minutes into the game, Dobrotu CSS's Marcu Ionescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Basarab Ştefoi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nichifor Bojonca made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcu Ionescu in the 53rd minute of play forced OTELUL GALATI's goalkeeper Basarab Ştefoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute, Luca Andriescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcu Ionescu succeeded in the game's 57th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-5. When David Dragota came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Dobrotu CSS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Dragota couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Marcu Ionescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Basarab Ştefoi was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Iordache Grigoroiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nichifor Bojonca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Basarab Ştefoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcu Ionescu in the 65th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Dobrotu CSS's zone, Nichifor Bojonca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iordache Grigoroiu came out of the goal and Nichifor Bojonca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to OTELUL GALATI getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Cornel Şantău hit a great ball. Emilian Butuc came free with the goalkeeper in the 72nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Basarab Ştefoi could save by the left post. In the 79th minute, Marcu Ionescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 80 minutes into the match, OTELUL GALATI's goal looked a bit too open when Marcu Ionescu came free, but Basarab Ştefoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute Marcu Ionescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basarab Ştefoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basarab Ştefoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Dragota in the 84th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Dobrotu CSS's Basarab Ştefoi threw himself towards the right post 85 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marcu Ionescu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. David Dragota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basarab Ştefoi having to interfere. Luca Andriescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 91 minutes into the match, OTELUL GALATI's goal looked a bit too open when Marcu Ionescu came free, but Basarab Ştefoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 93 played minutes, Dobrotu CSS's Octav Crăciun shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Basarab Ştefoi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dobrotu CSS reached it. Basarab Ştefoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcu Ionescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Iosif Cordescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The OTELUL GALATI supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Dobrotu CSS's performance. The match ended with a win for Dobrotu CSS.
