The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Codruț Breazu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cosmin Tomoiu's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. 6 minutes into the match, Cosmin Tomoiu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Codruț Breazu, 1-0. Ferdinand Macri struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Silviu Harbuz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C CARINA MARIA. After 19 minutes of play, F.C CARINA MARIA's Niculae Şendrea made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Silviu Harbuz was left in no man's land by his defense there! 23 minutes into the match, F.C CARINA MARIA's goal looked a bit too open when Cosmin Tomoiu came free, but Codruț Breazu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Lucrețiu Vâlcu notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of F.C CARINA MARIA's Codruț Breazu. Codruț Breazu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Ferdinand Macri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olimpiu Hodorog's late challenge caught a F.C CARINA MARIA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olimpiu Hodorog helped the player get up and apologised. Ferdinand Macri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silviu Harbuz having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Niculae Şendrea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 38thth minute of the game Niculae Şendrea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pietroasele CF's Silviu Harbuz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Olimpiu Hodorog had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Niculae Şendrea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The F.C CARINA MARIA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Niculae Şendrea was the one to do the kick off. In the 78th minute Niculae Şendrea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silviu Harbuz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucrețiu Vâlcu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pietroasele CF's Silviu Harbuz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Pietroasele CF from getting a goal against them. F.C CARINA MARIA's Dan Scaeru managed to work through Pietroasele CF's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Dan Scaeru dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. If Niculae Şendrea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Niculae Şendrea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silviu Harbuz having to interfere.
