Pietroasele CF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Virgil Podgoreanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 16th minute, Virgil Podgoreanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CS Carp eDiem fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Ovidiu Cozmâncă charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. CS Carp eDiem's supporters rose to their feet, but Valeriu Chirițescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silviu Harbuz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 65 minutes into the match, Pietroasele CF's goalkeeper Silviu Harbuz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Virgil Podgoreanu. The supporters of CS Carp eDiem booed when Pietroasele CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Bâru didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Pietroasele CF supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching CS Carp eDiem's performance. The match ended with a win for CS Carp eDiem.
