The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mihăiţă Agrigoroaiei charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mihăiţă Agrigoroaiei the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mihăiţă Agrigoroaiei hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. A collision led to Sumugiu getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Iacob Simionică hit a great ball. Silviu Braru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Petru Rainea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mihnea Curtean went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Emil Zdrelea made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Tudor Doicaru sent off a good shot on target. Petru Rainea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valer Firu, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Sumugiu's goal looked a bit too open when Silviu Braru came free, but Petru Rainea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silviu Braru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martin Ghișe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Petru Rainea having to make a save. Augustin Zăvoiu hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mihnea Curtean in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Petru Rainea saved Sumugiu from getting behind. After having played for 25 minutes, Mihnea Curtean managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.F. Corabia XII-H's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mihnea Curtean was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mihnea Curtean in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Petru Rainea saved Sumugiu from getting behind. A collision led to C.F. Corabia XII-H getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Pompiliu Costandache hit a great ball. Emil Zdrelea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tudor Doicaru in the 46th minute. Ion Bistreanu charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ion Bistreanu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mugurel Frențiu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Petru Rainea had great luck who in the 52ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Mihnea Curtean from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. After 53 minutes Sumugiu's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Silviu Braru who took care of the corner kick. Augustin Zăvoiu was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Petru Rainea came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by C.F. Corabia XII-H's Martin Ghișe. But to his dismay, Martin Ghișe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The throw-in from Sergiu Filimon in the 65th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by C.F. Corabia XII-H's Olimpiu Vătafu. Petru Rainea was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Silviu Braru showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 66 minute of play. Martin Ghișe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Petru Rainea made a huge save. Sumugiu's Petru Rainea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Sumugiu from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Silviu Braru took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Petru Rainea to make any attempt to save it. 88 minutes into the match, Sumugiu's goal looked a bit too open when Silviu Braru came free, but Petru Rainea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Tudor Doicaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. C.F. Corabia XII-H's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
