Liviu Bobeica fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nichifor Adomniței having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ponoreni SC's zone, Valer Culiță stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nichifor Adomniței came out of the goal and Valer Culiță tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half FC Miroslava were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mihai Isopescu to strike the kick off in the second half. When Ponoreni SC's Martin Corbea in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. FC Miroslava's Costin Ciompec got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nichifor Adomniței made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valer Culiță in the 61st minute of play. If Mihai Isopescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 68th minute, Mihai Isopescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eduard Covrig was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Mihai Isopescu scored 2-1 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eduard Covrig, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 85 minutes into the game, Valer Culiță was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Miroslava's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ponoreni SC the free kick. 86 minutes into the match, Mihai Isopescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eduard Covrig. FC Miroslava's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mihai Isopescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Thanks to some nice moves Liviu Bobeica could shoot a difficult shot in the 91st minute, which Nichifor Adomniței however easily saved by the left post. Ponoreni SC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
