Iustin Pipirig might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Petru Rainea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sumugiu's Mugurel Frențiu managed to work through Martonfalva CS's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Mugurel Frențiu dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Petru Rainea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Suciu in the 27th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Tudor Doicaru left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sumugiu fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. When Constantin Arosculesei fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Martonfalva CS's protests and gave Constantin Arosculesei a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tudor Doicaru in the 91st minute of play forced Martonfalva CS's goalkeeper Radu Miron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Tudor Doicaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iustin Pipirig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
