Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 5 minutes into the match, Sotepataka's goalkeeper Isac Senin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adrian Lițiu. In the 14th match minute, Burlug was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nechifor Demian to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Nistor Corlățean managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sotepataka's supporters rose to their feet, but Nistor Corlățean was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gabriel Măguran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sotepataka's Isac Senin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantin Hrebenciuc in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th minute Mircea Şerbănescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Măguran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sotepataka's Horaţiu Şuplăcan got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Horaţiu Şuplăcan kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. When Nechifor Demian fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Burlug's protests and gave Nechifor Demian a yellow card for diving instead. Nistor Corlățean charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nistor Corlățean the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 35th match minute, Sotepataka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nistor Corlățean to maneuver through the defense. Adrian Lițiu got in the 40th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Isac Senin handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Isac Senin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Constantin Hrebenciuc, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Gabriel Măguran made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nistor Corlățean in the 53rd minute. Nechifor Demian was shown his second yellow card after 57 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 58 played minutes Burlug got a freekick which was hit by Nechifor Demian. Costică Ilarie was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 59th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Radu Buteanu charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Radu Buteanu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Burlug fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Sotepataka a penalty, 66 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Costică Ilarie, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Burlug's Gabriel Măguran. 0-2. Gabriel Măguran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mircea Şerbănescu in the 69th minute of the match. In the 78th minute Adrian Lițiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isac Senin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 81 minutes into the game, Burlug's Adrian Lițiu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Isac Senin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Iurie Corvin's late challenge caught a Sotepataka's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Iurie Corvin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 89th minute, Iurie Corvin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 95 minutes, Gabriel Măguran successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
