The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nicodim Badea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calistrat Capătă having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Doctors Who Run's goal looked a bit too open when Emilian Pantiș came free, but Viorel Chiliman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sandrde's Paul Vornicu got a free kick in the 14th minute. Emilian Pantiș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viorel Chiliman having to interfere. Doctors Who Run's Viorel Chiliman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ionuț Cretan in the 17th minute of play. A collision led to Doctors Who Run getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Gigel Cioculescu hit a great ball. When Sandrde's Emilian Pantiș in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When Emilian Pantiș came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Sandrde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emilian Pantiș couldn't finish the play. After having played for 39 minutes, Nicodim Badea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Doctors Who Run's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicodim Badea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ionuț Cretan in the 41st minute of play forced Doctors Who Run's goalkeeper Viorel Chiliman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gigi Achim kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Mihăiţă Moisescu was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 45th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 71st minute, Nicodim Badea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Doctors Who Run fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Viorel Chiliman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilian Pantiș, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Ionuț Cretan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Viorel Chiliman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emilian Pantiș in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Viorel Chiliman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ionuț Cretan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Viorel Chiliman when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Viorel Chiliman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilian Pantiș, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After 84 played minutes Sandrde got a freekick which was hit by Paul Vornicu. Tiberiu Săndoi, 85 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 90th minute, Ionuț Cretan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 92 minutes into the match, Emilian Pantiș dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Viorel Chiliman, 1-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Sandrde's Emilian Pantiș slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Viorel Chiliman. That made the score 1-2 after 96 minutes of play. The Doctors Who Run fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sandrde were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
