Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ionel Bourceanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gelu Mereacre having to make a save. 59 minutes into the match, FC Craiova's goal looked a bit too open when Ionel Bourceanu came free, but Gelu Mereacre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
