In the 11th minute Liviu Roşu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelian Gorcea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 14 minutes of play, Ac Milan's Nicu Rizea made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gabriel Mangra was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nicu Rizea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Gabriel Mangra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Nistor Ciociu, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 25 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Aurelian Gorcea was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Gabriel Mangra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Jurcuț in the 27th minute of the match. If Nicu Rizea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sebastian Jurcuț in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gabriel Mangra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aurelian Gorcea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Liviu Roşu in the 40th minute of the match. The supporters of Ac Milan booed when FC LEII was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduard Ficsinescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

A collision led to FC LEII getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Cezar Vrabie hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Sebastian Jurcuț took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Gabriel Mangra to make any attempt to save it. Gigi Păun's late challenge caught a FC LEII's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gigi Păun helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ac Milan's Gigi Păun got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Nistor Ciociu scored 1-3 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aurelian Gorcea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Ac Milan supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ac Milan would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
