The supporters of FC Baia Mare booed when Latoi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Șerban Birișu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Laurențiu Mercescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcu Pantea was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. If Anton Negru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anton Negru in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcu Pantea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 19 minutes into the game, Marius Secară cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Marcu Pantea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Latoi getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Șerban Birișu hit a great ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcu Pantea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 62 minutes into the match, Latoi's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Negru came free, but Marcu Pantea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Latoi's goalkeeper Marcu Pantea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Laurențiu Mercescu. After 70 minutes, Sandu Borogeanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Latoi and the FC Baia Mare players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marcu Pantea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anton Negru in the 77th minute of the match. When Laurențiu Mercescu came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the FC Baia Mare fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laurențiu Mercescu couldn't finish the play. Sebastian Vrânceanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bogdan Teodor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Sebastian Vrânceanu notched a goal, 1-6, to the right of FC Baia Mare's Bogdan Teodor. Bogdan Teodor was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to FC Baia Mare getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Mihail Răchitan hit a great ball. FC Baia Mare played a much better game than Latoi and deserved their victory. The Latoi players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
