In the 8th minute, Laurențiu Mercescu fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Antocenii UFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Anton Negru 9 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Laurențiu Alexiu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Laurențiu Mercescu in the 13th minute. Anton Negru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laurențiu Alexiu having to interfere. Bogdan Teodor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Traian Nanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Laurențiu Mercescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laurențiu Alexiu having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Antocenii UFC's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Negru came free, but Laurențiu Alexiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd match minute, Antocenii UFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiberiu Stroescu to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Negru in the 35th minute of play forced Antocenii UFC's goalkeeper Laurențiu Alexiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Baia Mare's Mihail Răchitan got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Baia Mare's goalkeeper Bogdan Teodor, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Laurențiu Mercescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Antocenii UFC's goalkeeper Laurențiu Alexiu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dumitru Poenaru charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dumitru Poenaru the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dumitru Poenaru kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anton Negru to make the kick off. After 54 played minutes FC Baia Mare got a freekick which was hit by Bogdan Măgurean. Traian Nanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Laurențiu Alexiu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Antocenii UFC's goalkeeper Laurențiu Alexiu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Laurențiu Mercescu took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Laurențiu Alexiu. Laurențiu Alexiu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. With a little luck, FC Baia Mare's Bogdan Teodor got control of the ball when Traian Nanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Traian Nanu hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. A collision led to Antocenii UFC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Marius Ghețea hit a great ball. Laurențiu Alexiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laurențiu Mercescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Laurențiu Alexiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Negru in the 87th minute of play. Laurențiu Alexiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laurențiu Mercescu in the 91st minute of the match. Laurențiu Mercescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Baia Mare's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
