Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Plaic's Iulian Torouţ started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Augustin Neacșu notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Plaic's Nechifor Zdrobiş. Nechifor Zdrobiş was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Costel Bratu got free with Șerban Armanca in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Gelu Juverdeanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Plaic's zone, Codruț Gâlcă stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nechifor Zdrobiş came out of the goal and Codruț Gâlcă tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iulian Torouţ struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Șerban Armanca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Plaic. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Plaic's goalkeeper Nechifor Zdrobiş, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 19 minutes into the match, Zoicarul's goal looked a bit too open when Iulian Torouţ came free, but Șerban Armanca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the game, Radu Onuț was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Plaic's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zoicarul the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gelu Juverdeanu in the 29th minute of play forced Plaic's goalkeeper Nechifor Zdrobiş to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Zoicarul's Codruț Gâlcă sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nechifor Zdrobiş narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Zoicarul getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Augustin Neacșu hit a great ball. Șerban Armanca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iulian Torouţ, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. When Augustin Neacșu fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zoicarul's protests and gave Augustin Neacșu a yellow card for diving instead. After 41 played minutes Zoicarul got a freekick which was hit by Augustin Neacșu. Costel Bratu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iulian Torouţ in the 47th minute of play forced Zoicarul's goalkeeper Șerban Armanca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Codruț Gâlcă stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Codruț Gâlcă made a precise shot to the right of Nechifor Zdrobiş. Plaic's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Iulian Torouţ fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Șerban Armanca having to interfere. Plaic's Nechifor Zdrobiş proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Plaic from getting a goal against them. 64 minutes into the match, Plaic's goal looked a bit too open when Codruț Gâlcă came free, but Nechifor Zdrobiş reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Zoicarul booed when Plaic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiberiu Beligan didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Zoicarul's Codruț Gâlcă in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Plaic's goalie prevented a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gheorghe Floruțiu during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 74th minute there was a penalty for Plaic. Horaţiu Moga stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Șerban Armanca. 1-2. After a rather tough play, Zoicarul's Augustin Neacșu got a free kick in the 77th minute. 80 minutes into the game, Iulian Torouţ cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Șerban Armanca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Costel Bratu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
