In the 3rd of the match, Adrian Aelenei tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Nechifor Zdrobiş got in the way and made a wonderful save. Nechifor Zdrobiş showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Aelenei in the 8th minute of the match. In the 10th minute, Corneliu Teofil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of FC. ZALAU booed when Plaic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Radu Onuț didn't get a good kick on the ball. Corneliu Teofil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nechifor Zdrobiş having to interfere. Adrian Aelenei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Costel Bratu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Corneliu Teofil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Costel Bratu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilie Geambașu having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Nechifor Zdrobiş showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Aelenei, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. When Adrian Aelenei came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the FC. ZALAU fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adrian Aelenei couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Vlad Mahonea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Plaic's supporters rose to their feet, but Vlad Mahonea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ilie Geambașu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Costel Bratu scored 0-1 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ilie Geambașu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. FC. ZALAU's Ilie Geambașu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save FC. ZALAU from getting a goal against them. In the 70th match minute, FC. When Horea Angheloiu came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Plaic fans jumped to their feet. ZALAU's zone, Costel Bratu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ilie Geambașu came out of the goal and Costel Bratu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ilie Geambașu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iulian Torouţ in the 84th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Costel Bratu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Plaic's supporters rose to their feet, but Costel Bratu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ilie Geambașu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
