Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 150) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Gigel Cotuțiu made the kick off which started today's match. After a defensive mix-up in Zoicarul's zone, Gigel Cotuțiu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Șerban Armanca came out of the goal and Gigel Cotuțiu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Octavian Șora hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. 10 minutes into the match, Zoicarul's goal looked a bit too open when Gigel Cotuțiu came free, but Șerban Armanca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute Gelu Juverdeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilian Hurmuzescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Romania defense, Gelu Juverdeanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emilian Hurmuzescu. The Romania fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emilian Hurmuzescu should have stopped the shot. When Romania's Gigel Cotuțiu in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zoicarul's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Zoicarul booed when Romania was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petre Varga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Codruț Gâlcă did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-3 to the left of a surprised Emilian Hurmuzescu 76 minutes into the match. Gelu Juverdeanu struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Emilian Hurmuzescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zoicarul. A collision led to Romania getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Daniel Benga hit a great ball. In the 88th minute, Gheorghe Floruțiu sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Romania's Emilian Hurmuzescu didn't even have to move. Gelu Juverdeanu might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emilian Hurmuzescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gelu Juverdeanu ran back to his position shaking his head. Gelu Juverdeanus short, quick shot in the 93rdth minute got Emilian Hurmuzescu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Gelu Juverdeanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Emilian Hurmuzescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dacian Nuțu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zoicarul's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
