Spectators: 7553 (Terracing: 5666, Seating: 1737, VIP seats: 150) FC Chimindia's Matei Chevereșan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, FC Chimindia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tudor Encuțu to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to FC Andreicnst getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Traian Mihăilescu hit a great ball. After having played for 17 minutes, Matei Chevereșan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Chimindia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matei Chevereșan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Traian Mihăilescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gabriel Tunaru read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Marius Peptan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 26th minute of the match Niculae Ciocârlan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cornel Todericiu skillfully saved the ball. Robert Arieșan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Gabriel Tunaru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 30 played minutes FC Andreicnst got a freekick which was hit by Emilian Stanciu. After having played for 32 minutes, Matei Chevereșan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Niculae Ciocârlan was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 45th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ştefan Săvescu hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Gabriel Tunaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Traian Mihăilescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to FC Chimindia getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Dacian Horodincă hit a great ball. When Traian Mihăilescu came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the FC Andreicnst fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Traian Mihăilescu couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Traian Mihăilescu in the 68th minute of play forced FC Chimindia's goalkeeper Gabriel Tunaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Iosif Poplăcean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robert Arieșan struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Gabriel Tunaru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Andreicnst. An unexpectedly hard shot by Traian Mihăilescu in the 77th minute of play forced FC Chimindia's goalkeeper Gabriel Tunaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when FC Chimindia's Matei Chevereșan in the 89th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Cornel Todericiu was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for FC Andreicnst through an amazing save. Robert Arieșan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Tunaru having to interfere. Gabriel Tunaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Traian Mihăilescu in the 95th minute of the match. FC Andreicnst's Cornel Todericiu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to save FC Andreicnst from getting a goal against them. The FC Chimindia players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented FC Andreicnst from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
