Spectators: 6733 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1733, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Chimindia's goalkeeper Gabriel Tunaru, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Iosif Poplăcean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Cristi Antipa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leontin Tărâţă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 18 minutes, Leontin Tărâţă managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Extraordinario's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leontin Tărâţă was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristi Antipa made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Iosif Poplăcean sent off a good shot on target. In the 21st match minute, FC Chimindia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dacian Horodincă to maneuver through the defense. FC Chimindia's Gabriel Tunaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Gherasim in the 23rd minute of play. If Iosif Poplăcean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leontin Tărâţă recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32nd minute, Leontin Tărâţă got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Gherasim in the 34th minute of play forced FC Chimindia's goalkeeper Gabriel Tunaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgar Gherasim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Tunaru having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Iosif Poplăcean got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Matei Chevereșan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Edgar Gherasim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 53rd minute, Constantin Ene hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristi Antipa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matei Chevereșan in the 56th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Iosif Poplăcean left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net.
