Dinu Ticulescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 31 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for misuu team! After a defensive mix-up in misuu team's zone, Dinu Ticulescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Zamfira came out of the goal and Dinu Ticulescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aristide Tănăsocă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdinand Pașcalău having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Viorel Oardă in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ferdinand Pașcalău prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half FC Sebastian were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 82nd minute, Viorel Oardă got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ivan Zamfira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dinu Ticulescu in the 85th minute. Ivan Zamfira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marian Manea charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marian Manea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 96th minute, Marian Manea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Sebastian eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
