Spectators: 6716 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 0) Niculitel's Manole Bacanu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lucian Lupeanu struck a weak shot in the 2nd minute. Albert Lixandru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Meziad. Manole Bacanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Romeo Siclovan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manole Bacanu in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Romeo Siclovan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Manole Bacanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Niculitel's supporters rose to their feet, but Manole Bacanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romeo Siclovan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Meziad booed when Niculitel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nistor Roşca didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Niculitel's zone, Lucian Lupeanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albert Lixandru came out of the goal and Lucian Lupeanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Mădălin Apostolescu came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Niculitel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mădălin Apostolescu couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Meziad getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Aurelian Arghiroiu hit a great ball. Meziad's Romeo Siclovan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Meziad from getting a goal against them. In the 29th minute Manole Bacanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeo Siclovan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mădălin Apostolescu got free with Romeo Siclovan in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Meziad's Romeo Siclovan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Meziad from getting a goal against them. Aurelian Arghiroiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Lixandru having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nistor Roşca during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Aurelian Arghiroiu hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. If Aurelian Arghiroiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Lucian Lupeanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Albert Lixandru having to make a save. Meziad's Lucian Lupeanu got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 62nd minute, one of Meziad:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Meziad. The referee gave Niculitel a penalty, 65 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nicolae Anisie, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Meziad's Romeo Siclovan. 1-0. When Nistor Roşca was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 71 minutes had been played. The referee gave Meziad a penalty, 73 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Lucrețiu Miroiu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Niculitel's Albert Lixandru. 1-1. Lucrețiu Miroiu kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Aurelian Arghiroiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Meziad booed when Niculitel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Doru Buciuman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucian Lupeanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. It was beautiful to see Meziad's Aurelian Arghiroiu in action when he in the 92nd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! After a rather tough play, Niculitel's Manole Bacanu got a free kick in the 94th minute. After 97 minutes, Narcis Stroie mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Meziad and the Niculitel players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Meziad getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Narcis Stroie hit a great ball. Meziad were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
