Isac Buceceanu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Sven Ambjörnsson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Isac Buceceanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Petre Dudea got free with Sven Ambjörnsson in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 23 minutes into the game, Petre Dudea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Sven Ambjörnsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Cocosul booed when FC AFC TULCEA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristi Ionașcu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isac Strugure received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Ernest Bara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicodim Abrudan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 41st minute of the game. One of FC AFC TULCEA:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cocosul:s goal. In the 43rd minute there was a penalty for Cocosul. Manole Marghescu stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ernest Bara. 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

63 minutes into the match, FC AFC TULCEA's Petre Dudea sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sven Ambjörnsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nicodim Abrudan kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 70thth minute. Though ot was a great shot FC AFC TULCEA's keeper Ernest Bara was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Sergiu Bobariu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 73 minutes into the match. Edgar Beșleaga kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isac Buceceanu in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sven Ambjörnsson saved Cocosul from getting behind. In the 93rd match minute, Cocosul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manole Marghescu to maneuver through the defense. Isac Buceceanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sven Ambjörnsson having to make a save.
