After a defensive mix-up in Niculitel's zone, Isac Buceceanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albert Lixandru came out of the goal and Isac Buceceanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Isac Buceceanu's late challenge caught a Niculitel's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isac Buceceanu helped the player get up and apologised. 11 minutes into the match, Niculitel's goal looked a bit too open when Dinu Lucan came free, but Albert Lixandru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute Petre Dudea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albert Lixandru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isac Buceceanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Albert Lixandru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Manole Bacanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Niculitel getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Doru Buciuman hit a great ball. Albert Lixandru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isac Buceceanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of FC AFC TULCEA booed when Niculitel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolae Anisie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Niculitel's Albert Lixandru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dinu Lucan in the 30th minute of play. In the 34th match minute, FC AFC TULCEA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iacob Stoian to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mădălin Apostolescu got free with Ernest Bara in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 39th minute, Petre Dudea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Isac Buceceanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 45 played minutes FC AFC TULCEA got a freekick which was hit by Ovidiu Nae. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

FC AFC TULCEA's supporters rose to their feet, but Isac Buceceanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albert Lixandru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Isac Buceceanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute of the match Ştefan Soare shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ernest Bara showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC AFC TULCEA players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Niculitel.
