Spectators: 7450 (Terracing: 5589, Seating: 1713, VIP seats: 148) Lucian Lupeanu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Isac Strugure struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Romeo Siclovan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cocosul. After a rather tough play, Meziad's Lucian Lupeanu got a free kick in the 9th minute. If Isac Strugure had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isac Strugure took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Romeo Siclovan. Romeo Siclovan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 24th match minute, Meziad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narcis Stroie to maneuver through the defense. Romeo Siclovan came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Cocosul's Nicodim Abrudan. But to his dismay, Nicodim Abrudan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 30th minute, Horia Giurăscu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romeo Siclovan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manole Marghescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicodim Abrudan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeo Siclovan having to interfere. Isac Strugure received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Romeo Siclovan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucian Lupeanu hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Isac Strugure to make the kick off. Nicodim Abrudan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th minute, Isac Strugure got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 68th match minute, Cocosul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar Beșleaga to maneuver through the defense. Cristinel Terzian was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 76 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute, one of Meziad:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Meziad. 81 minutes into the match, Meziad's goal looked a bit too open when Isac Strugure came free, but Romeo Siclovan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Narcis Stroie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meziad's supporters rose to their feet, but Narcis Stroie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sven Ambjörnsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Cocosul's Isac Strugure got a free kick in the 85th minute. Meziad's Romeo Siclovan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isac Strugure in the 88th minute of play. Nicodim Abrudan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Romeo Siclovan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Horaţiu Bodnar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Romeo Siclovan made a huge save. If Isac Strugure had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 100th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cocosul walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
