Spectators: 7503 (Terracing: 5628, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 149) Meziad's Lucian Lupeanu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lucian Lupeanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorin Măguran having to interfere. The supporters of Pocruia AS booed when Meziad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horia Giurăscu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Romeo Siclovan came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Pocruia AS's Vintilă Ghimpu. But to his dismay, Vintilă Ghimpu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After some careless play in the Meziad defense, Vintilă Ghimpu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Romeo Siclovan. The Meziad fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Romeo Siclovan should have stopped the shot. Aurelian Arghiroiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorin Măguran having to interfere. In the 31stth minute of the game Costică Filipoiu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Meziad's Romeo Siclovan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 34th minute of the match Costică Filipoiu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Romeo Siclovan skillfully saved the ball. Meziad's Aurelian Arghiroiu got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Tudor Enceanu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Romeo Siclovan was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. After 44 minutes, Tudor Enceanu made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Meziad's Romeo Siclovan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Romeo Siclovan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tudor Enceanu's shot from short distance in the 50th minute. After the first half Pocruia AS were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tudor Enceanu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, Pocruia AS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valer Andronic to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 58 minutes, Narcis Stroie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Meziad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Narcis Stroie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Aurelian Arghiroiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Meziad booed when Pocruia AS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Tutuianu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Romeo Siclovan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tudor Enceanu in the 65th minute of the match. Costică Filipoiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 74 minutes into the match, Meziad's goalkeeper Romeo Siclovan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vintilă Ghimpu. When Lucian Lupeanu came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Meziad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucian Lupeanu couldn't finish the play. Aurelian Arghiroiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 80 played minutes Pocruia AS got a freekick which was hit by Valer Andronic. Pocruia AS's Dorin Măguran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelian Arghiroiu in the 83rd minute of play. Cazimir Cocoș hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Meziad's Romeo Siclovan got control of the ball when Vintilă Ghimpu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aurelian Arghiroiu's late challenge caught a Pocruia AS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aurelian Arghiroiu helped the player get up and apologised. After 93 played minutes Meziad got a freekick which was hit by Aurelian Arghiroiu. Aurelian Arghiroiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aurelian Arghiroiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorin Măguran having to interfere. Pocruia AS were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Meziad's much stronger midfield.
