Gabriel Gorun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihnea Panaitoiu having to interfere. 27 minutes into the game, Traian Caba was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Seatbelt FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Derby Brasov the free kick. Traian Caba hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Gabriel Gorun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihnea Panaitoiu having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Cristinel Sterescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Derby Brasov fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 47th minute Dumitru Oprișor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Bogătan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gabriel Gorun to make the kick off. Cristinel Sterescu hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute of the match, Gabriel Gorun tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mihnea Panaitoiu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A wasted opportunity for Seatbelt FC. 87 minutes into the match, Seatbelt FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristinel Sterescu came free, but Denis Bogătan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Derby Brasov's zone, Gabriel Gorun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mihnea Panaitoiu came out of the goal and Gabriel Gorun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Denis Bogătan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristinel Sterescu in the 93rd minute of play. Maxim Bitang kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Gabriel Gorun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Mihnea Panaitoiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Many of Seatbelt FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Seatbelt FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Derby Brasov were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
