Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ilie Bota made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rd match minute, STEAUA KYB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ilie Bota to maneuver through the defense. Romeo Erbașu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Iordache Cârstea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aron Durbac hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Dinu Plopșor received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Iordache Cârstea came out and tried to block the shot, but Dinu Plopșor slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 10th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Alacap CS's goal looked a bit too open when Ilie Bota came free, but Eusebiu Lăzăroiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute, Dinu Plopșor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in STEAUA KYB's zone, Dinu Plopșor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iordache Cârstea came out of the goal and Dinu Plopșor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 28 minutes into the game, Dorel Burca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. STEAUA KYB's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alacap CS the free kick. When the match had been going on for 29 minutes, Alacap CS's Rareș Daraban got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Iordache Cârstea. Iordache Cârstea made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Romeo Erbașu sent off a good shot on target. Romeo Erbașu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iordache Cârstea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Iordache Cârstea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dinu Plopșor's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Dinu Plopșor was extremely unlucky when he, in the 39th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a defensive mix-up in STEAUA KYB's zone, Romeo Erbașu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iordache Cârstea came out of the goal and Romeo Erbașu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Aron Durbac fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored STEAUA KYB's protests and gave Aron Durbac a yellow card for diving instead. Aron Durbac hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Romeo Erbașu got free with Iordache Cârstea in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Horea Mateianu kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. A collision led to STEAUA KYB getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Aron Durbac hit a great ball. In the 48th match minute, Alacap CS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeo Erbașu to maneuver through the defense.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dinu Plopșor made a kick off. Dinu Plopșor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iordache Cârstea having to interfere. Gigel Vlădoiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Iordache Cârstea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Romeo Erbașu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Iordache Cârstea came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Alacap CS's Romeo Erbașu. But to his dismay, Romeo Erbașu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 62nd minute, Aron Durbac hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, STEAUA KYB's Daniel Ilie got a free kick in the 66th minute. STEAUA KYB's Nicu Baldazar got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Iordache Cârstea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Romeo Erbașu's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. The audience was convinced that Dinu Plopșor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iordache Cârstea was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. The supporters of STEAUA KYB booed when Alacap CS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gigel Vlădoiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Romeo Erbașu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Horea Mateianu was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 92 minutes had been played. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Romeo Erbașu in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iordache Cârstea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 97 played minutes Alacap CS got a freekick which was hit by Corneliu Mavrogheni. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Alacap CS had played much better football throughout.
