Iordache Cârstea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Totoiu CF. If Marius Iorga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nicu Baldazar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cazimir Opaina having to make a save. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ilie Bota made a kick off. STEAUA KYB's Iordache Cârstea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save STEAUA KYB from getting a goal against them. In the 52nd minute, Eduard Mahonea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Daniel Ilie during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Totoiu CF booed when STEAUA KYB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Ilie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iordache Cârstea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Otețea, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After 56 minutes, Aron Durbac mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the STEAUA KYB and the Totoiu CF players grew even worse after the yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet as Totoiu CF's Manuel Otețea slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Iordache Cârstea. That made the score 0-3 after 64 minutes of play. In the 69th minute of the match Costin Dănciulescu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cazimir Opaina skillfully saved the ball. Marius Iorga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iordache Cârstea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manuel Otețea in the 72nd minute. Aron Durbac hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Iordache Cârstea was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Manuel Otețea showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 75 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Totoiu CF's Eduard Mahonea got a free kick in the 78th minute. After a defensive mix-up in STEAUA KYB's zone, Marius Iorga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iordache Cârstea came out of the goal and Marius Iorga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Martin Rușanu fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Totoiu CF's protests and gave Martin Rușanu a yellow card for diving instead. Martin Rușanu hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. The STEAUA KYB fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Totoiu CF were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
