When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Gică Vaida sped through Marceni CSM's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Isac Albescu. 18 minutes into the match, Marceni CSM's goal looked a bit too open when Gică Vaida came free, but Isac Albescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Toader Ciorobîtcă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maxim Istrăteanu came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Marceni CSM's Toader Ciorobîtcă. But to his dismay, Toader Ciorobîtcă quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 53rd minute, Toader Ciorobîtcă got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in balaur FC's zone, Claudiu Ciupe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maxim Istrăteanu came out of the goal and Claudiu Ciupe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Claudiu Ciupe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Maxim Istrăteanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. balaur FC's Maxim Istrăteanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save balaur FC from getting a goal against them. Claudiu Ciupe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 68 minutes into the match, Marceni CSM's goal looked a bit too open when Gică Vaida came free, but Isac Albescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toader Ciorobîtcă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 75 minutes into the match, balaur FC's Olimpiu Boldur sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Isac Albescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 76th match minute, Marceni CSM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horaţiu Nistorescu to maneuver through the defense. If Gică Vaida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute Toader Ciorobîtcă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maxim Istrăteanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maxim Istrăteanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toader Ciorobîtcă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Toader Ciorobîtcă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
