Puini CSM's Marius Borogeanu got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cazimir Mincu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Nisipeanu in the 21st minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, David Nisipeanu put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Cazimir Mincu. Cazimir Mincu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lucrețiu Pătrășcanu's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Puini CSM's goal looked a bit too open when David Nisipeanu came free, but Cazimir Mincu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Marius Borogeanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cazimir Mincu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Nisipeanu in the 40th minute of play. Cazimir Mincu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Nisipeanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Puini CSM's Cazimir Mincu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Nisipeanu in the 47th minute of play. David Nisipeanu took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cazimir Mincu. Cazimir Mincu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After the first half Zorileasca were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marius Borogeanu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 67th minute David Nisipeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cazimir Mincu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Nisipeanu in the 68th minute of play forced Puini CSM's goalkeeper Cazimir Mincu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zorileasca's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Nisipeanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
