Puini CSM's Cazimir Mincu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgil Alexandrescu in the 13th minute of play. When FCM Bacau's Virgil Alexandrescu in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Cazimir Mincu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 26 minutes, Horaţiu Răduț mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Puini CSM and the FCM Bacau players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 26th minute, Horaţiu Răduț hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When FCM Bacau's Valeriu Ciurea in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Virgil Alexandrescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cazimir Mincu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valeriu Ciurea in the 41st minute of the match. Virgil Alexandrescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half FCM Bacau were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marius Borogeanu made a kick off. In the 54th minute Virgil Alexandrescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cazimir Mincu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Virgil Alexandrescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cazimir Mincu was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. After having played for 75 minutes, Virgil Alexandrescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FCM Bacau's supporters crossed their fingers, but Virgil Alexandrescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Puini CSM's Cazimir Mincu got control of the ball when Valeriu Ciurea tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cazimir Mincu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgil Alexandrescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 86 minutes, Virgil Alexandrescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FCM Bacau's supporters crossed their fingers, but Virgil Alexandrescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Valeriu Ciurea managed to get in a good position for a shot. FCM Bacau's supporters rose to their feet, but Valeriu Ciurea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cazimir Mincu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Puini CSM's defense didn't have a chance, in the 91st minute, when Virgil Alexandrescu scored to the left of an out of position Cazimir Mincu, making the score, 0-4. FCM Bacau's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
