Crows's Mihai Bărăian got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Crows's Dan Talianu got control of the ball when Sorin Iliescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sorin Iliescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Talianu having to interfere. Sorin Iliescu spun around in front of the goal 18 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Crows's goal. In the 19th minute, Edgar Curea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, ⋆CB⋆FC.Rapid Nerau's Dan Talianu threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Valer Suciu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Mihai Bărăian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gelu Costescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihai Bărăian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dan Talianu was a little too slow when Sorin Iliescu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sorin Iliescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gelu Costescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiberiu Hidișan in the 52nd minute of play. Tiberiu Hidișan might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gelu Costescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tiberiu Hidișan ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Crows's zone, Sorin Iliescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dan Talianu came out of the goal and Sorin Iliescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edgar Curea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiberiu Hidișan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Gelu Costescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Costică Andronic was shown his second yellow card after 96 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Costică Andronic kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
