Spectators: 6727 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 0) FC Rogerius Oradea's Grigore Filipoiu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Grigore Filipoiu scored 0-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mihail Bungescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 13 minutes into the game, Iulian Avram was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Rogerius Oradea's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Herculian the free kick. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Rogerius Oradea reached it. Ionică Răduț's late challenge caught a Herculian's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claudiu Mâinea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 32 minutes into the match, FC Rogerius Oradea's goalkeeper Claudiu Mâinea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ionel Calomfirescu. Augustin Racoviță charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Augustin Racoviță the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to FC Rogerius Oradea getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Augustin Racoviță hit a great ball. Cristian Tremurici struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Claudiu Mâinea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Herculian. Cristian Tremurici might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claudiu Mâinea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Tremurici ran back to his position shaking his head.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristian Tremurici was the one to do the kick off. Claudiu Mâinea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ionel Calomfirescu in the 54th minute of the match. Cristian Tremurici fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudiu Mâinea having to interfere. When Ionel Calomfirescu came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Herculian fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ionel Calomfirescu couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Tremurici in the 64th minute of play forced FC Rogerius Oradea's goalkeeper Claudiu Mâinea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Augustin Racoviță received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Claudiu Mâinea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ionel Calomfirescu during the 101st minute.
