In the 12th minute, Iordache Maxim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Anton Hurgoi from long distance, 13 minutes into the match, got Lucrețiu Pășcuțoiu's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After some careless play in the Fintoaga defense, Ivan Stelian kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Panait Beca. The Fintoaga fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Panait Beca should have stopped the shot. 17 minutes into the game, Sintamarie UFC's Ivan Stelian nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Panait Beca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. If Codrin Buhăescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ferdinand Otețea fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sintamarie UFC's protests and gave Ferdinand Otețea a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th minute, Ferdinand Otețea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lucrețiu Pășcuțoiu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Claudiu Ungureanu. Lucrețiu Pășcuțoiu made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Fabian Mereacre sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Stelian in the 38th minute of play forced Fintoaga's goalkeeper Panait Beca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Codrin Buhăescu came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Sintamarie UFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Codrin Buhăescu couldn't finish the play. If Ferdinand Otețea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Fintoaga players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sintamarie UFC were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gavril Hizo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Fintoaga's goalkeeper Panait Beca, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 55 minutes, Ivan Stelian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sintamarie UFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivan Stelian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 62 minutes, Denis Ogășanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fintoaga and the Sintamarie UFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ivan Stelian in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Panait Beca, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ivan Stelian blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Panait Beca having to make a save. After 69th play minutes Ivan Stelian shot 0-5, a short shot which went by Panait Beca and just under the crossbar into goal. Panait Beca made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Ivan Stelian sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Ferdinand Otețea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sintamarie UFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ferdinand Otețea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Panait Beca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Fintoaga's Fabian Mereacre got a free kick in the 85th minute. Ivan Stelian might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Panait Beca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ivan Stelian ran back to his position shaking his head. Panait Beca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdinand Otețea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sintamarie UFC's Ivan Stelian was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 97th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. When the match was over Sintamarie UFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Fintoaga throughout the match.
