When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Cristian Tremurici took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Andréas Nordal to make any attempt to save it. Herculian's Mihail Bungescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filip Bernea in the 15th minute of play. The supporters of NLC Stars booed when Herculian was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Ilie didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Herculian's goal looked a bit too open when Gică Câmpeanu came free, but Mihail Bungescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manole Cucerzan kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Gică Câmpeanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Mihail Bungescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Alex Ilie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Tremurici fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andréas Nordal having to interfere. Ionel Calomfirescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Andréas Nordal made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as NLC Stars's Filip Bernea slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mihail Bungescu. That made the score 4-1 after 88 minutes of play. When NLC Stars's Gică Câmpeanu in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Herculian's goalie prevented a goal. Filip Bernea in the 94thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Herculian's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
