The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Andréas Nordal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gavril Hizo in the 3rd minute of play. Fintoaga's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gavril Hizo in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andréas Nordal saved NLC Stars from getting behind.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gică Câmpeanu was the one to do the kick off. Filip Bernea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Panait Beca having to interfere. 65 minutes in the game, Gavril Hizo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Andréas Nordal having to interfere. Gică Câmpeanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
